Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to the free tools on kutola.co.uk, including the AI Readiness Checker and the AI Crawler Checker, and to the results and PDF reports they produce. The tools are provided by Kutola Limited (“Kutola”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By using them, you agree to these terms.

1. What the tools do

When you enter a web address, our tools fetch that page and a few related public files from the same website, such as robots.txt, llms.txt and the sitemap. Requests are made as KutolaBot and, if a website turns that away, as a standard web browser. The tools then run automated checks and show a score with suggestions for improvement.

Each check looks at one page, from the outside, at one moment in time. The tools only read pages that are publicly available. They never log in, fill in forms or access private areas of a website.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the tools to check your own website, a website you work on, or any other publicly available page. You must not:

• use the tools to overload, attack or disrupt any website, including ours;
• send automated or bulk requests, or try to get around our usage limits or security checks;
• copy, scrape or resell the tools, their results or their reports as a service of your own;
• use the tools for anything unlawful.

We apply usage limits to keep the tools fair and available for everyone. We may limit or block access where we believe these terms are not being followed.

3. Results and suggestions

Results, scores and suggestions are general information produced by automated checks. They are not professional advice tailored to your business. Search engines and AI systems decide for themselves which pages they show or cite, and they change how they work over time, so we cannot guarantee that following our suggestions will improve your visibility, rankings or traffic.

Some reports include ready-made code, such as robots.txt rules, structured data or an llms.txt draft. This code is provided as an example. Please review it, adjust the details in brackets and test any change before making it live. Keep a backup of anything you replace. You are responsible for the changes you make to your website.

4. Saved results and share links

Each result is saved for 24 hours so it can be shown again without running a new check. Anyone with the link to a saved result can view it during that time. Results only contain information taken from publicly available pages.

5. PDF reports

You can request a PDF version of a result by giving us your email address. The download link works for 24 hours. You may keep the report, use it within your organisation and share it with your clients or colleagues, provided it is shared unchanged. You must not remove or replace the Kutola name or branding, or present the report as your own work.

6. Intellectual property

The tools, their scoring method, and the design and wording of results and reports belong to Kutola Limited. Information taken from the pages you check belongs to the owners of those websites. Nothing in these terms gives you any right to use our name, logo or branding other than as part of a report shared unchanged.

7. Availability

The tools are free and provided “as is”. We may change, pause or withdraw any tool at any time, and we do not promise that they will always be available or free from errors.

8. Our liability

The tools are intended for business use. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the tools, their results or their reports. Our total liability to you in connection with the tools is limited to £100.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you use the tools as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

9. Other websites

The pages you check, and any links in results or reports, belong to other websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a new revision date. The terms in force when you use a tool apply to that use.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms will still apply.
